Content Creation: ‘My Body Holds Its Shape’ Exhibition Guide / 【

English-Chinese post on heritage and cultural centre Tai Kwun’s Facebook page and Instagram account on 29 Jun 2020.

A breakthrough in enclosures and rules

When you enter My Body Holds Its Shape in F Hall, you might first notice Thea Djordjadze’s Needle over your head.
The installation points towards another work of hers, .pullherawaypull., which inserts a view from the outside into the gallery space.

How do both creations serve as Thea’s responses to the space and context of this “white cube”, challenging the traditional assumption that art needs walls?
