Utopia and dystopia in one
Inspired by German architectural theorist Paul Scheerbart and his fantasy novel Glasarchitektur, architect Bruno Taut created a series of drawings titled Alpine Architecture, envisioning a futuristic city built entirely from crystal and glass.
Paying homage to the two architectural pioneers, Korean artist Lee Bul’s After Bruno Taut presents a spiralling city structure suspended from above. Composed of crystal, glass, mosaicked mirrors, and acrylic beads, the miniature model conjures a futuristic spectacle while alluding to invisible corporate power and a surveilled society—demonstrating that utopia and dystopia are often two sides of the same coin.

烏托邦與反烏托邦的一體兩面
德國建築理論家 Paul Scheerbart 在幻想小說《玻璃建築》中構想了一個晶瑩通透的未來世界,現代主義建築師 Bruno Taut 受其啟發,創作出一系列藍圖《阿爾卑斯山建築》,描繪一座全由水晶與玻璃構成的未來城市。
韓國藝術家李昢向兩位建築先驅致敬,創作了作品《仿布魯諾‧陶特(當心物之甜美)》。這件懸掛於空中的螺旋城市結構,以水晶、玻璃、鑲嵌鏡與塑膠彩珠組成,既展示出未來主義的想像,也暗示著企業權力與社會監控無所不在,突顯烏托邦與反烏托邦往往難以分割、共存一體。
